Same Spread Lines for all Teams

I was wondering can i make it so everyone has the same spread lines?  That's how we had it on a previously unnamed site and members of my league prefer it that way.

Currently its not an option, I've added it to the todo list. I'll let you know if we can squeeze it in. I don't think it would be too hard, basically we would freeze the initial line that comes in Tuesday.

How did the other site handle when the line was OFF? Were you still allowed to pick the game?

If the Line was OFF, you can still pick the game, but there was no line.  so it's kind of an "obvious" pick.

The other site would freeze on thursday.... but lines would be released TUE, WED, then lock THURS.  

It wouldn't matter when you made your picks, you would get the THURS line.

it's a catch 22... But I understand it would be easier to freeze Tuesdays line, when it comes in.

OK, thanks for the info. It wouldn't be difficult to freeze the line on Thursday, which makes mroe sense anyway since its more likely stable by then. I'm going to try to add a setting for this sooner rather than later since there are enough managers who want it (and beleive me some who don't :) ).

If you froze the lines on Thursday - would you then update the lines for all of the teams so everyone has the same spreads ?

Is that possible?

OK, this is now supported. You'll see the new setting in your League Settings in the 'Against the Spread' row.

It was cleaner in my view to do it on Tuesday when the line first comes out, that way everyone always sees the same line. In the 1st 22 years of a play money pool I run we used a fixed Tuesday AM line, with no issues. The only time I had to step in and adjust the line post-Tuesday was the snow blizzard game of 2014 where the Bills-Jets had to move their game to Detroit and the line moved by 6 or 7 (as I recall). In a play money league such a jump can have huge consequences, because you could bet all your play money on the affected game. However in a pickem pool even such a corner case like the 2014 blizzard game would have trivial impact on a pickem pool.
