Posted Sep 12, 2017 at 6:04 PM I have a survivor pool that allows one buyback, but the pool also has a 2nd place bracket. - Does a player with a week 1 loss have a choice to either buyback into the 1st place bracket or continue in the second place bracket?
- When manager approval is required for buyback, is the request for a byback handled through the pool or is it handled informally via direct communication between the player and manager?
Thanks. - Tom |

Here's a knowledgebase article that covers this. The answer to question 1 is yes, they have the option, and question 2 they will need to contact the maanger outside of the site. I think its better to not do manager approval for buyback, the picks page explains to the player their options and they have to explicitly click a radio button to agree to do a buyback. Fred

Posted Sep 12, 2017 at 8:23 PM Thanks. I changed the "Manager approval of buybacks" setting to no as you suggested. Shortly afterwards, one the 2nd place bracket players went in to make a pick, but reported that they did not see a buyback option. Their pick was accepted, but they remained in the 2nd place bracket. Am I missing something? (I since fixed that particular case by enabling manager approval, approving a buyback for that player, and then disabling manager approval again.) - Tom |

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll take a look at that. I just saw that message today on my pool, because one of my clones picked Houston. Arg. :) Fred
