Posted Aug 19, 2015 at 7:44 AM Time to redeem myself after last year’s debacle. Well, I hit
everything in the AFC except for the AFC championship game, but the NFC was a disaster,
missing two of the division winners and totally blowing the New Orleans Super
Bowl pick. This year I’m going to be a homer fan and stick with Denver
winning the AFC, but losing to Green Bay in the Super Bowl as the Packers will
have too big an advantage at QB. I think Manning will be just a shade above
average, but with their defense improved from 5th best last year, it
will be enough as Indy still has too many holes. NE will be without Brady for a
few weeks, and Brady will be a notch down as age continues to catch up with
him. This year’s surprise team: Oakland Raiders. No, I’m not a
fan, I hate the Raiders. But their rookie QB last year was arguably the best in
the rookie class. Last year’s 1st rounder Khalil Mack was 3rd
for defensive player of the year. They added more firepower from this year’s
draft, especially Amari Cooper. My AFC predictions match last year except for the Raiders
making the wildcard. Also watch out for a possible appearance by Buffalo. NFC surprise team is the Vikings, whose QB was the other
good rookie and is looking strong this preseason. Also watch out for St Louis. AFC East: New England AFC North: Pittsburgh AFC South: Indianapolis AFC West: Denver AFC Wildcards: Cincinnati, Oakland AFC
Championship: Denver at Indy, Denver wins NFC East: Dallas NFC North: Green Bay NFC South: Atlanta NFC West: Seattle NFC Wildcards: St Louis, Minnesota NFC Championship: Seattle @ Green Bay, Green Bay wins Superbowl: Green
Bay over Denver

Halfway through the season and my two surprise wildcard picks, Oakland and Minnesota, are currently wildcard teams if the playoffs started today. :)

Mike, your prediction was definitely prophetic! I was at the big game, loved every moment, capped off with my team winning.
