Hello Fred.  Thanks as always for a great site.

Last week (week 10), my survivor pool started with two surviving players in the 1st place bracket. Both lost. Per the "last man standing" option, I expected those two players to be reinstated this week, but that has not happened. Can you take a look please?

Possibly related: I also noticed when making picks that a buyback option was offered. That was unexpected, since I configured buybacks to end after week 4.

While I'm here, I noticed a separate issue with the prize winnings shown for my pick-em pool. Week 1 awarded $60 each to the top 4 players, instead of the configured amounts.  The remaining weeks were all awarded correctly, including a variety of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place tie scenarios. I'm guessing this was due to a bug (since fixed) in new code to implement the new "points then split"  tiebreaker option. Can you go back and corrrect the week 1 prizes please?

Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,

You are right, in fact I use a similar config for my league and already had a fix. I somhow missed your league when I looked for others with the same 2nd place bracket with buyback and last man standing. Anyway, take a look, you should be good to go.

I'll take a look at the other league, but you should be able to update prize winnings in your player accounts page.

Thanks.  The survivor pool looks good now.  Now that I see how the week 10 picks are displayed (grey), I recall having seen them displayed that way at one point - perhaps early Tuesday immediately after the week was closed out.  Something must have come through and reapplied the loss shortly afterwards.  All is good now.

As for the pick-em pool, I don't see a way to update the weekly standings display. When I select week 1 on the standings page, the "Week 1 Winners" block is empty. Further down the page under the season tab, the win/loss stats are correct, but it is not sorted by tiebreaker points and all 5 players with a 11-4-1 record show a $30 prize. I would have expected the players with TB deltas of 2, 3, and 4 to be at the top with prizes of $36, $18, and $9, respectively. The $30 prizes also carry over to the Top Prize Winners section for this and all subsequent weeks.

I looked at Edit Standings, but that is limited to the prior week. I could edit the prize totals on the Player Accounts page, but don't think that would change what the players are seeing on the standings page.

Could you take another look please?

Thanks, Tom

You are correct that the 'Week 1 Winners' should not be blank. Do you recall if you changed the prize settings after that week? We don't have any known issues with this, so not sure why those are missing from week 1. I went ahead and reprocessed week 1 that will use your current tie-breaker setting.

The problem dealing with a week that is more than two weeks back is that any change made only updates that week, not any of the subsequent weeks including the current week (long story, but it has to do with a design deicsion that helps the standings load faster).   So however this should add up for the current week, based on the reprocessed week 1, should be updated using the Player Accounts page. These changes should be reflected in your current standings, if not let me know as this is expected to work. Please wait until this week is over though (within an hour after the Monday night game ends). before updating the Player Accounts pages.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi Fred.  It doesn't look like the end-of-week processing corrected the prize amounts. Week 1 shows the correct amounts (following your earlier action), but the remaining weeks through the week just completed still show totals as if the top 5 players won $60 in week 1.

My recollection regarding the configuration is that the weekly prizes have been unchanged since cloning last year's pool. The season-end prizes were originally estimated to be $200, $100, $60, and $40. They were adjusted down slightly after week 1 based on participation.

Should I try adjusting the amounts on the Player Accounts page?

Yes, please use the player accounts page to adjust. If changes you make do not show up in the current standings please let me  know. The reason the week 1 reprocessing fix doesn't show up in subsequent weeks is because each week would need to be reprocessed separately, one after another.

Unfortunately I don't have all the log information I need from week 1 to help explain why your week 1 standings did not update the prize winnings.

Fred - I  adjusted the affected winnings on the player account s page and the changes now show correctly on the Week 11 top winners and season summary.  I'll just ignore the week 2-10 numbers.  Thanks for your help.  - Tom
