General NCAA Pool Questions

Hello, I run a private NCAA pool for my extended family.  I am looking to find a new home this pool and found your site on Google. I setup an account and  have been looking around, but still have a few questions:

1) How does one clone a NCAA entry?  We have parents who will submit entries on behave of their kids.

2) How soon after the games are completed do your update the brackets and standings?

3) Is the automated bracket updates and scoring part of the FREE package or is that a premium option?

Hi Scott,

Each parent can create a clone within their account. Note that a new feature is coming soon (within next couple weeks) that will allow the manager to create clones for the parent player.  

The brackets and scores are updated usually within 15 minutes of the completion of the game. 

Pretty much everything you want will be free. :) The only premium services are 1) accept credit card payments for your league ($15), 2) disable ads for your league (cost depends on size of league), 3) add branding (add your own colors and graphics - $15).

I was playing around with creating Clones and it generally makes sense to me, but it's not clear how I make the picks for a Clone.  I noticed I will be able to view a Clone's bracket under "Standings" once the games begin, but not sure how to make their picks. The "My Picks" heading option only shows my initial bracket, I don't see a place to select/edit my Clones.  Thanks in advance!

First, if you haven't already, be sure to enable clones to join your league in Manager -> League Settings. To make picks for clones, you would do it the same way you would for any player in your league, via Manager -> Submit Player Picks. 

The player who has a clone will have a pull-down option on the 'My Picks' page to select the clone to make the pick for. It may not be showing up yet since the schedule hasn't been set.

Scott, FYI I've added the ability for managers to create clones for individual players in their league. Go to Manager -> Full Control Panel, then click on 'Add Players or Clones'.
